Product Description

The Coilhose Pneumatics TYP-2500CS high volume blow gun is rated to blow 34 cubic feet of air per minute (CFM) with a thrust of 2.1 lbf. at 125 psi. Its sound level rating of 85 decibels (dB) at 125 pounds per square inch (psi) exceeds Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard 1910.95 for eight hours of continuous use, and it meets standard 1910.242B for dead-end pressure. This blow gun has a 1/4" female National Pipe Thread Taper (NPT) inlet connection, and comes equipped with a tapered high-flow tip for bringing concentrated air flow to hard-to-reach areas. It has a variable flow trigger for controlled blow-off, weighs 6.2 oz., and is constructed with an aluminum body, a high-impact plastic trigger, and a rubber handle. This blow gun is manufactured for high-flow industrial cleanup and blow-off operations.

Blow guns, also called air blow guns or pneumatic blow guns, attach to air lines and are used to manually discharge air for non-contact cleaning or drying purposes in laboratory or industrial applications. Most blow guns are made of metal components, but they are also available in all plastic or a combination of metal and plastic. They typically consist of an ergonomic grip or handle, a trigger, and a nozzle, also called a tip, through which compressed air is delivered. Many also come with extensions to increase the distance between the trigger mechanism and the nozzle. Different styles of blow gun components can be arranged in a variety of configurations to meet the exacting needs of a specific application. Specifications for blow guns include pressure capacity, measured in pounds per square inch (psi); air flow volume, measured in cubic foot per minute (CFM); thrust (the amount of force that exits the nozzle), measured in pound force (lbf); noise level, measured in decibels (dB); and air line connection type, which is typically National Pipe Thread Taper (NPT). Some blow guns meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard 1910.95 for sound level and standard 1910.242B for maximum pressure with an obstructed or "dead-ended" nozzle.

Coilhose Pneumatics manufactures straight and coiled hoses, couplers, connectors, fittings, filters, regulators, and lubricators for pneumatic tools and applications. The company, founded in 1969, is headquartered in East Brunswick, NY.
